Orestes 2.0

Cody lead the show as Orestes

Joe Hendel’s thesis prodcution at UCSD, the production was set in a nightmare “Hotel California” of institutional corruption and psychic violence served with a big, broad Southern Californian smile. The Times of San Diego called the production “a circus of philosophical and political ideas, conveyed through intense theatricality and physicality that is breathtaking in its inventive ferocity…” and a “tempestuous fever-dream of a production” “teeming with refreshing, youthful energy.”

A person dressed as a military officer with medals, wearing American flag shorts, is being held by a person with blood-stained hands and a blood-stained shirt, in what appears to be a chaotic or war scene with furniture and debris around.
A shirtless man with a tattooed arm wearing shorts sits on a chair in a small pool, reaching out with his arm toward a woman in black attire with a nurse's hat and black mask. The woman is kneeling on the floor and holding the man's arm. Two other women in black nurse costumes with hats are in the scene, one kneeling and the other standing. The background shows framed pictures and colorful lighting, suggesting a theatrical performance or art installation.
Two actors performing on stage, one man in a gray suit and woman in a yellow jumpsuit with makeup, with a dark blue backdrop.
A scene from a play or movie featuring two men on a stage. One man is dressed in a white suit and hat, gesturing with his hand. The other man, wearing a gray sweatshirt and white pants, has fake blood and latex prosthetics on his arms and chest, standing with his arms crossed.
A woman with blonde hair and a man with short dark hair are sitting on a bed in a dimly lit room. The woman is reaching out towards the man, who is covering his face with his blood-splattered hand. The man is wearing a gray hoodie and shorts, while the woman is wearing a graphic tank top, fishnet stockings, and a choker. The bed has white sheets and a crumpled blanket, with a makeshift wall and a drawing on yellow paper in the background.
Stage with actors performing a scene, including two actors in the foreground with one pointing a prop at the other, and three actors in the background engaged in a conversation, with theatrical lighting and set decorations visible.

A woman with blonde hair, makeup, and a choker necklace sitting on a bed next to a man with brown hair, sleeping on his side. The woman has makeup smudged and is covered in fake blood, with a bloody arm resting on the man. The scene appears dramatic or theatrical, with a simple background and bed.
